Who is specialist music insurance for?

If you don’t practice music yourself, Insure4Music can also help provide cover for vinyl record collections.

What is public liability insurance for musicians?

Public liability insurance for musicians can help provide financial protection should you injure a third party or damage their property while performing, rehearsing, or teaching.

For example, if a piece of your equipment were to fall and injure a member of the audience, and they decided to make a claim against you, having musicians’ Public Liability insurance may be able to help cover the legal costs.

You may also find that some music venues require you to have Public Liability insurance as a minimum before they will allow you to use their performance space.

How can music insurance help provide financial protection?

In addition to Public Liability cover, music insurance can also help provide financial protection in the following situations:

  • Your musical instruments or equipment are stolen from a locked car or music venue
  • You accidentally damage your instruments or equipment during a performance, or damaged equipment stops you from being able to perform your next gig
  • A piece of your equipment is lost while your band is travelling to a gig abroad
  • You own multiple instruments or pieces of music equipment that would be expensive to replace all at once out of your own pocket*
